Moreh, August 29 2020: Contributing towards Ministry of Home Affairs initiative to awaken human sensation by tree plantation in year 2020 and to contribute in preserving and promoting the environment, Moreh Battalion under 26 Sector (Assam Rifles) organised a tree saplings plantation and conservation drive in relationship with National Sports Day today.

This plantation drive was conducted to foster a culture of responsibility towards nature among troops and families.

Hundreds of saplings of various variety were planted by troops and families including children in and around the location, which would turn to be precious natural asset with time and finally contributing to ecosystem.

The drive have really spread a sense of responsibility and care towards nature among all participants.

During the drive the Coy, Commander of 43 Assam Rifles said, due to deforestation and desertification nature of human being for their needs, lots of tress which are maintaining the ecosystem of our earth have been affected very severely.

Due to loss of trees we the human beings are suffering with sever change of Ecosystem, Environment etc.
