Nambul River cleaned

 Imphal, April 09 2023: A large number of volunteers of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) led a drive aimed at keeping Nambul River clean today.


BJP State Unit vice president N Nimbus said the cleanliness drive was organised by the BJYM State unit in association with the Environment and Climate Change Department.

It was organised following the advice of Chief Minister N Biren Singh BJP and BJP State president A Sharda, he said.

BJP State unit general secretary L Deben stated the importance of keeping the river clean and urged people not to litter in and around the river.

Cleanliness drives would have no meaning if people do not stop littering, he added.

Environment and Climate Change Joint Director T Brajakumar said Rejuvenation and Conservation of Nambul is one project that is being implemented to free the river of pollution by treating urban waste water falling into it.

The drive organised in line with BJP's foundation day was also participated by locals, personnel (trainees) of 10th and 11th RBand officials of the Environment and Climate Change Department.
