Imphal, May 02 2022: Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal kicked off its fortnight long observance of Swachhata Pakhwada-2022 with cleaning of its Takyelpat campus on Monday.

In a release, IBSD Director's secretary Atom Samarendra Singh stated that the Swachhta Pakhwada launched by Government of India, is a fortnight-long programme to ensure mass participation of citizens in Swachhta activities so as to transform Swachh Bharat into a citizens' movement.

The cleaning of the campus and its approach road from Takyel road was led by IBSD director Prof Pulok Mukherjee and joined by scientists, students and other staff members, it added.
