Imphal, April 11 2022: Somsai Battalion of IGAR (S) carried out tree plantation drive in Assam Rifles Public School, Somsai on Monday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the plantation drive was organised to spread awareness and encourage school children about growing environmental concerns and ways to prevent it by tree plantation.

In all, 110 children, 15 teachers and troops of Somsai Battalion participated in the event.

The gathering was also educated about the importance of tree in maintaining the ecological balance, added the PRO.
