Training on aromatic crops held

Imphal, March 12 2022: Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow aided by Tabitha Children Home, Imphal East conducted an awareness programme on 'Improved Cultivation and Processing Technology of Aromatic Crops for Income Enhancement of the Farmers in Ukhrul  District' under the centrally sponsored CSIR-Aroma Mission-II at Rarsomtang Hung Pung village on Friday.

In a release, Tabitha Children Home co-ordinator  Marinao  Leknjayo informed that the programme organised with the local sup port of Tammi of Tabitha Children Home was widely attended by farmers and entrepreneurs of the area.

The objective of the event was to introduce aromatic crops and its benefits to the local farmers as an additional and alternative source of income generation and livelihood, it add ed.

The release mentioned that the programme was attended by CIMAP Lucknow technical officers Dr Manoj Kumar Yadav and Dr Israr Ali as resource persons.
