Imphal, January 21 2022: The 22nd Waterbird Census was conducted at many wetlands located in different parts of the State.

The census was jointly organised by IBCN, Environment Social Reformation and the Sangai Protection Forum in collaboration with Manipur Forest Department Wildlife Wing, Loktak Development Authority and Environment and Climate Change.

The waterbird census was carried out at Loktak lake, Lamphelpat, Yaralpat, Yaithoupat, Ikop pat, Kharung pat, Pumlen pat, Kumbi pat, Ungamel pat, Tangjeng biodiversity reserved area and other water bodies across the State.
