Imphal, December 17 2021: North East Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC) has set up bamboo nursery sites at Leirikhul in Imphal West District and a bamboo plantation site at Konshak Khul in Kangpokpi district.

The bamboo nursery and plantation sites have been set up by NECBDC under North Eastern Council, Shillong under the Ministry of DoNER, Government of India focusing on talent scouting, training, technology sourcing, market linkage for giving a new age thrust to the age-old bamboo sector.
