King Chilli Festival begins in Kadi village

Tamenglong, October 16 2021: The 1st Kadi Part 2 village King Chilli Festival began on Saturday at Kadi Part 2 village under Tamei Sub-division in Tamenglong district.

The event was attended by social activist Ashang Kasar as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh Rongoubou village chairman and pastor Ch Malumbou expressed their appreciation to Ashang Kasar; social worker Manaseh Chawang and Ch Pouhotdin for initiating and taking part in the event.

                                        King Chilli Festival begins in Kadi village

The village leaders and farmers also appealed to the concerned department to take more interest in the whole Kadi village and provide necessary assistance for the welfare of the people.


It may be mentioned that Kadi village produces more than 1,000 Kg of King Chilli every year and the villagers are wholly dependent on the King Chilli farm for their livelihood.

On the 1st day, more than 300 Kg of King Chilly were sold by the villagers.
