RIMS observes World Rose Day

Imphal, September 22 2021: The department of Radiation Oncology, RIMS observed World Rose Day at the conference hall of the department on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by RIMS media advisor N Phillip, RIMS director Prof A Santa attended the observance function as chief guest while RIMS MS Prof Nepram Sanjib and head of Radiation Oncology Department Dr T Dhaneshor were the presidium members.

Prof A Santa stated that the observance of World Rose Day brings happiness and instils hope into the lives of patients and reminds them that they can emerge victorious in their battle against cancer through determination and positivity.

"Most of the patients coming to Radiation Oncology Department are poor and we thank Prime Minisler Narendra Modi for providing various schemes for cancer patients.

The institute is also providing affordable health care services," he said.

Later on, fruits and edible items' were distributed to the cancer patients admitted in the ward.

BJP OBC Morcha Manipur Pradesh also distributed fruits and sweets to the cancer patients as a part of Seva Aur Samapan Abhiyan to celebrate the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP OBC Morcha president RK ' Nongdrenkhomba, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Th Basanta Singh, BJP OBC Morcha vice president H Basan Singh and officials of BJP OBC Morcha were present on the occasion, the release said.
