Imphal, September 11 2021: Sekmai AC MLA, Heikham Dingo Singh has given assurance to repair the road connecting Phayeng Pathar Bazar and Tairenpokpi.

H Dingo said this while inspecting the state of Maklang river at Phayeng Kharang Khunou and added that the said stretch of road had already been repaired in the past however as the road is in a low lying area which gets flooded during monsoon, repairing it is difficult.

Officials of PMGSY and PWD had also been apprised of the condition of the road and the difficulty in repairing it, he added.

He also added that a work plan for construction of a dam over the Maklang river will be taken up.

He also assured that he will continue to extend assistance to the people of Sekmai AC who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic even if that means deferring developmental projects.
