Students remove plastics from campus

Imphal, April 19 2025: Eco Club, NSS Units, NCC and the IQAC of Maharaja Bodhchandra College, Imphal in collaboration with the State Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, organised a "One Day Campus Clean up Programme" to make the campus a plastic free zone on Saturday.

At the event, Dr L Usharani, Assistant Professor, Environmental Science and Dr N Kishorchand, Associate Professor and HOD of Geography explained the harmful impacts of plastics on the environment.

Students and teachers removed plastics from the campus.

They also took out a rally from the campus to Konung Mamang Keithel near MFDC .

A similar campaign under the theme "Elimination of single use plastics on school campus" was also held at Srivan Higher Secondary School, Luwangsangbam today.

I Usharani, Principal of the school and environmen talist Ch Joykumar took part in the campaign.
