Senapati, February 19 2025: The District Administration, Senapati carried out an inspection at Senapati river today during the Clean Senapati River Campaign.
The campaign was led by Rang David Kung, MCS, ADM Senapati and Adahrii Maheo, MCS, CEO Autonomous District Council, Senapati along with the Police Department, Senapati District Students Association, Karong Senapati Town Committee.
During the campaign, the team identified different locations where pollutants are disposed directly into the river and strict warnings were given to stop such activities immediately.
Besides, people residing along the river were sensitized about the ill effects of polluting the river and the need to preserve the lifeline of the District HQ.
It may be mentioned that various activities such as awareness programmes along with locality leaders and residents, and cleanliness drives will be taken up in the coming days as part of the initiative.
The District Administration seeks the support and cooperation of all the people to be actively involved in preserving the Senapati river and supporting the initiative for a clean environment.
