Imphal, August 06 2023: As a part of Environment Service activity under "One Multiple One Activity", Lions Club of Imphal Valley conducted a tree plantation drive at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal today on the theme, "Each One Plant One" .
In a release, Lions Club of Imphal Valley informed that the club has been taking social responsibility and service to the community as a part of service to humanity under Lions Club International District 322D.Members of the club planted about 40 saplings including shade trees and fruit bearing trees during the drive.
Similarly, Iramdam Manipur in association with Heibong Leirak Youth Association, Tangjeng Kiyam Siphai and Tangjeng Ningthou Flowers School also carried out a tree plantation drive along Tangjeng Heibong Leirak and in the campus of Tangjeng Ningthou Flowers School.
The tree plantation was conducted under the supervision of DFO Thoubal, Th Lokendro, said Iramdam Manipur in a release.
It was participated by Iramdam Manipur advisor N Deven Singh; M Korouhanba, executive director Lawyers For Human Rights and district coordinator Surjit Saikhom among others.
