Imphal, June 15 2022: Wilubou Newmai, spokesperson, BJP Manipur Pradesh has urged all people concerned to cooperate with the Forest Department and people coming to plant trees in the reserved forest areas.
The spokesperson in a statement maintained that it is unfortunate that some people/villagers are giving hindrances to the people coming with good intention to plant trees and revive/restore the treeless forests and asserted that the conservation of the environment requires the collective efforts of everyone.
He went on to state that the Chief Minister N Biren Singh is giving an important message to all the communities living in Manipur to protect the environment by saving and planting more trees in some areas of Manipur where trees are needed to be planted.
He further expressed concern that the silence of the elected officials to help restore and protect the forests are also costing the State dearly and opined that they should give awareness to their respective people and take action to protect the environment.
Lastly he appealed to all to join hands with the Chief Minister N Biren Singh to bring a positive change in the State and to strive for a healthier, greener and peaceful place to live.
