Thoubal, February 02 2022: Envis Hub Manipur, All Heirok United Club Association (AHUCA) and Eco Network Heirok on Wednesday jointly observed World Wetlands Day 2022 at Lairampat in Heirok Part-III with the theme, "Wetlands Action for People & Nature" .
It was attended by Assistance Conservator of Forest (ACF), N Munal Meitei, MFS; AHUCA convenor, Roshan Thounaojam; and Wildlife & Biodiversity Conservation Committee (WBCC) Manipur president, Rabi Takhellambam as presidium members.

World Wetlands Day 2022" observed at Lairampat
Speaking on the occasion, N Munal Meitei highlighted the relation between the depletion of wetlands and destruction of forest.
Stating that wetlands play a vital role in fighting biodiversity loss and controlling climate change, N Munal appealed to the public to provide their assistance in preserving and protecting the wetlands.
Environmental activist Salam Rajesh and Envis Hub Manipur coordinator Bijen Laishram also took part in the event as resource persons.
