Bishnupur, January 05 2022: In a bid to provide clean, drinking water to every household across Oinam under Jal Jeevan Mission, Har Ghar Jal Scheme of Government of India, Oinam AC MLA, Radhakishore and Y Joykumar, Additional Chief Engineer on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for Augmentation of Oinam Water Supply Scheme.
The programme was attended by L Radhakishore, Chairman, MPCB and KVIB; Y Joykumar, project director EAP, PWD Manipur and elders of the locality as well as committee members of Oinam Water Supply.

It may be mentioned that the New Development Bank will finance 80% expenditure for the project while the rest will be footed by the State with the goal of completing the construction by 2022 .
Speaking on the occasion, L Radhakishore stated that the long cherished dream of Oinam residents to have easy access to clean drinking water will be realized soon.
He also expressed the desire for a debate among all intending candidates of Oinam AC wherein they would share their future plans for the development of the AC .
Y Joykumar further clarified that the project was not undertaken to appease the people with the upcoming election in mind while adding that it was taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission, Har Ghar Jal to ensure access to clean drinking water across India by 2024 .
