Thoubal, January 07 2022: Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra on Friday laid foundation stones for various water supply schemes to he constructed in Wangkhem assembly constituency at a total cost of Rs 38.5 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA K Meghachandra informed that the water Supply projects include augmentation of water treatment plant at Yairipok Bishnunaha by Haryana based Unipro Techno Infrastructure Pvt Ltd at a cost of Rs 15,94,62,000; augmentation of Singu water supply scheme by Khoya and Co Construction Ltd, Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 1,57,00,000; Wangkhem water supply scheme to be built at a cost of Rs 6,50,00,000; augmentation of Phouden Water supply scheme at a cost of Rs 4,72,00,000; augmentation of Charangpat Maklang water supply scheme at a cost of Rs 9,80,00,000 along with laying of water pipeline in the localities of Haokha, Babu Bazar, Litanpok, Kiyam Wangma Taba and Amureijam by Unipro Techno Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.
He continued that Yairipok Bish-nunaha water supply scheme will be augmented with water reservoir and treatment plant and will be able to supply water to areas of Yairipok Municipal Council Ward No 1 to Ward No 9 .
The programme was also attended by company officials, senior citizens and WBCC office bearers and workers of the MLA.
