Imphal, December 08 2021: A one day training on medicinal and aromatic plants and a buyers and sellers meet was organised today by the State Medicinal Plants Board, Manipur under the aegis of National Medicinal Plants Board at Kaapam Village in Chandel.
The programme was attended by 90 farmers from Chandel and Tengnoupal districts while 10 farmers/SHG/Entrepreneurs showcased their products in the buyer-seller meet.
The programme was also attended by Dr A Guneswar Sharma, director (AYUSH) and Borpha, chairman, Kaapam village as presidium members.

K Jogeshchandra Sharma, mission director (retd), Horticulture Mission delivered a lecture on programme implementation and quality materials of medicinal plants; Dr PS Marium, asst professor Horticulture, Dr Ng Piloo, associate professor, horticulture and Dr Abhinah Moirangthem, assistant professor, CAU delivered lectures on potential species conservation, cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants.
