Ukhrul, November 25 2021: Former ADC member, A Mark Luithing Phungthar on Thursday inaugurated the Edu-tourism site rest camp at Ngaiva Ngaiva Choithar village, Ukhrul.
The Edu-tourism site was constructed under the initiative of five neighbouring villages of Veikhang area in Ukhrul district with the objective to unify the people and preserve their dying culture.
During the programme, Mark Luithing declared the site open after cutting the ribbon.
He also unveiled the memorial stone monolith.
The inaugural function was blessed by Somi Shimzing.
It may be mentioned that Choithar village donated the land for the construction of Edu-tourism site to Veikhang Hanga Wungnao Long (VHWL).
Chanchui Shangh and LAW Khathing also spoke on the occasion.
Later, the participants including headman, village leaders and Church leaders also took an integrity pledge.
The programme was organised by Veikhang Hanga Wungnao Long.
