Imphal, November 29 2021: Manipur Pollution Control Board chairman L Radhakishore has launched 'No to Plastic, Save Environment' campaign of Rotary Club of Imphal on Sunday.

While launching the campaign, MLA Radhakishore expressed concern over the impact of climate change that the world is facing and factors like increasing vehicle population, carbon emission among others contributing to pollution and environment degradation.

Like in other parts of the world, the state is also experiencing the impact of climate change.

At the same time, plastic pollution has become a major issue, he said, while lauding Rotary Club of Imphal for its campaign.

He also reiterated that the state government had banned single use plastic below 50 microns.

Radhakishore along with members and executive members of Rotary Club of Imphal distributed eco-friendly bags in Khwairamband Keithel and surrounding areas as part of the campaign.
