Special Summary Revision 2022 Training programme on 'Clean village, green village' held

Thoubal, November 23 2021: As part of Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2022, SVEEP Thoubal, Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal and NSS Units of YK College on Tuesday jointly organised a one day training programme for youths on 'Clean village, green village' at YK College Hall, Wangjing, Thoubal.

It was attended by A Subhash Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal; N Munal Meitei, Range Forest Officer, Kakching Range, Thoubal Forest Division; Michael T Mate, District Youth Officer/SVEEP Nodal Officer, Thoubal; K Thoiba Singh, Ass Professor, HOD of Mathematics, YK College; E Budhi Singh, Ass Professor, Department of Political science, YK College and Dr S Birahari Singh Singh, former Principal and HOD of Education Department, YK College as presidium members.

Special Summary Revision 2022 Training programme on 'Clean village, green village' held

The training programme began with a welcome address by K Lokendro Singh, DACYP member, NYK Thoubal, said a release issued by NYK Thoubal.


During the programme, A Subhash Singh educated the gathering on "Inclusive and accessible elections, leaving no voters behind' and highlighted the ease of enrolling or correction of electoral rolls through online means.

The DC also distributed "I am ready to vote" T-shirts to the participants.

Dr S Birahari Singh enlightened the gathering on "Catch the Rain, where it falls, when it falls" .

N Munal Meitei gave awareness on climate change, green innovations, local species plantation while E Budhi Singh spoke on making villages plastic free, hygiene and sanitation.

Later, a Block Level Declamation Contest on "Patriotism and Nation Building" with the theme "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" was also conducted.

The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by L Sanahal Singh, Ass Professor, YK College.
