Bishnupur, November 10 2021: District Horticulture & Soil Conservation Bishnupur under the aegis of Mission for Integrated Development for Horticulture distributed winter vegetable seeds to 142 beneficiaries of Bishnupur district on Wednesday.
The event was participated by DC Bishnupur, Ranjan Yumnam; District Horticulture & Soil Conservation Officer Bishnupur, O Kumar; ADC Bishnupur, H Bobby Sharma and District Horticulture Development Officer Bishnupur, Dr L Leisna Devi as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, O Kumar stated the distribution programme was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic while adding that the seeds would aid the winter harvest of the farmers.

Winter vegetable seeds distributed to 142 beneficiaries
He mentioned that seeds of various winter vegetables including garden peas, cabbage, onion, tomato, chilli and french beans were distributed to the beneficiaries.
Ranjan Yumnam expressed his anguish over the development of various commercial establishments in agricultural land by some individuals when the farmers are working tirelessly to ensure the State is self-sufficient in agricultural products.
