Cleanliness drive held at New Dinamai village

Senapati, October 28 2021: The NSS volunteers of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) under the leadership of POs Gaanpatrei Kamei and Sr Sonal Devendrabhai Vaghela, organised a cleanliness drive as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the central government to commemorate 75 years of progressive India and glorious history of people, culture and achievements.

The NSS volunteers cleaned up the drainage, collected garbage and cleared the weeds from in and around New Dinamai village, which has been adopted by school.

DBHSS principal Fr Paul Adahe SDB exhorted the volunteers by quoting Mahatma Gandhi: "When there is both inner and outer cleanliness, it approaches godliness".

He encouraged that as young sters they should contribute to the society and one of the ways being keeping the surroundipg clean.

Maram Bazar Youth and Students' Organisation president Th Ngatuba Solomon also volunteered in the cleanliness drive.
