Imphal, October 29 2021: A 3 day plantation programme cum social service camp under the theme 'Shanghallasi Kangleipak' commenced today at Mayang Langjing Primary School.
The programme has been organised by the Students Union of Kangleipak (SUK), Imphal West District Committee, said a press release issued by the student body.
In today's programme, the campus and surrounding of the school was cleaned, saplings were planted and also distributed saplings to the locals of the region.
SUK also urged all to conserve the forests and plant more trees for a healthy and greener environment and also appealed the Forest Department officials to carry out their duties diligently and help in conserving the wildlife.
