Bishnupur, October 28 2021: The Moirangkhunou Grazing Ground Protection Committee has expressed reservations against the construction of an 'Eco tourist park' at the grazing ground located at Moirangkhunou Makha Leikai under Moirangkhunou GP, Thanga AC.
Briefing a press conference held at Moirangkhunou Makha Leikai, L Mohen general secretary of the committee informed that the committee was created on October 23 after a meeting of the residents of the area in order to save the grazing ground.
He alleged that certain unscrupulous individuals had created a new committee with the same name to wreak havoc in their efforts to save the grazing ground and manipulate the matters surrounding the grazing ground for their own benefit.
L Mohen further appealed to the concerned authorities to look into the matter at the earliest, failing which the committee would be compelled to resort to various kinds of agitation if the eco tourism park gets constructed against the wishes of the committee.
