Senapati, September 30 2021: Horticultural inputs under different schemes implemented by the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Senapati for the year 2020-2021 were distributed by Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, DC, Senapati at DC Office Complex, Senapati.
The distribution programme was held in the presence of District Officer, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Senapati who is also the Ex-Officio Project Officer and staff.
Beneficiaries of the district were provided 5 shade net films, 10 Bee boxes & extractor, 5 Knapsack sprayer, vegetable seeds and pesticides under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH); 26 sprinkler sets with pump under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY); and 6 tool kits & vermicompost under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) .
Speaking on the occasion, Kh Upendra Singh, District Officer, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Senapati stated that the 52 horticultural inputs were distributed to beneficiaries in order to enhance production and productivity of different horticultural crops for the year 2020-21 work programme.
"To avail the benefits of MIDH scheme, a farmer has to register to the hornet portal of MIDH (www.hornet.gov.in)" he added.
The district officer continued that in order to be eligible for the scheme, the beneficiary should be a farmer by occupation and should submit documents to the office including Aadhar, bank account and land ownership certificate issued by the village authority countersigned by the concerned SDO/SDC.
Mahesh Chaudhari appealed to the public to take advantage of the schemes in order to improve their income and assured them to conduct similar programmes on a larger scale.
