Imphal, September 25 2021: A three day expedition to Zaimeng Lake organised by Poirei Eethiba Lup (PEEL) has been flagged off by its president RK Tonsai from Yumnam Leikai Lairembi ground on Saturday.
Speaking to the media in this regard, PEEL secretary Kh Nirmal informed that the expedition has been organised to raise awareness about environment among the youth.
The expedition will assess the present condition of the lake, which is the origin of Imphal river, and work for its conservation along with promoting relationship with the surrounding villages to achieve the aim, he explained.
