Yaripok, September 19 2021: Foundation stone for development of an 'Eco Tourism Destination Park'' near the worshiping place of Nongpok Taarang Sharaba (Gwarok Mahadev) under Yaripok assembly constituency in Thoubal district has been laid by Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra on Sunday.
The ceremony organised by Kekru Ideal Progressive Committee (KIPC) was also attended by KIPC functionaries, local elders and Meira Paibi leaders.
Regarding the park, MLA Meghachandra said that it is to be developed with fund from the state's tourism department and his Local Area Development Fund and there is no political connection in the park project.
He appealed to local people to support the committee in developing the park at the earliest.
MLA Meghachandra further said that development work around Nongpok Taarang Sharaba would be taken up soon after the rainy season is over.
The park will also give convenience to devotees visiting the sacred site.
The Park will have a large hall, hotel/restaurant and shops and a quarter for caretaker of the park will also be constructed, he added.
