Imphal, August 30 2021: Lions Club of Imphal City along with Sinfha Club, Chanung conducted a tree plantation cum awareness programme on the theme Protection of environment' at Chanung village on Sunday.
About 200 fruit bearing tree saplings were planted around the village playground and ponds.
The programme was attended by Lions Club of Imphal City service chairperson Th Mohendra Pratap, Lions Club district GMT Th Kesho, club president Ksh Ibotombi and Sintha club secretary N Premjit among others.
Meanwhile.
Lions Club of Imphal Central organised a programme for planting fruit bearing tree saplings at Sanamahi Kiyong complex at Seloi Langmai Ching on Monday.
In a release,.Club secretary Dr Pangeijam Sanjeev informed that during the programme carried out by its Yumnam Ranjit Singh, service chairperson Laishram Phulendro Meitei and 16 members a total of 70 orange, lemon, mango, banana and cotton nursery saplings were planted.
