Bishnupur, September 07 2021: In line with the celebration of 125th birth anniversary of Hijam Irawat, Kumbi Urban Development Committee (KUDC) carried out a cleanliness drive and repaired the road stretch from 'Welcome to Kumbi' to Kumbi Bazar Thongkhong on Tuesday.
On the first day of the two days long 'Road repairing cum cleanliness drive', volunteers of KUDC and members of Kumbi Municipality area's club/organisation took part in the drive.
It was also participated by KUDC chief advisor, Kh Indrakumar; KUDC president, W Bobychand Luwang; vice president, W Robert and media co-ordinator, Kh Bipin.
Speaking on the occasion, Kh Bipin stated that the repair work was carried out in view of the difficulties faced by the people due to the bad condition of the road.
He further appealed to the concerned authority to black-top the road in order to avoid any unfortunate accidents.
