Imphal, August 26 2021: JNIMS director professor L Deben has said that keeping hospital and its surrounding area neat and clean would not only refresh mind of patients suffering from different diseases but also help in their treatment and speedy recovery.
According to professor Deben, different development works are being carried out in JNIMS under the initiative of chief minister and JNIMS Society president N Biren to make it a better medical institution.
The works include installation of modern medical equipment and filling up of manpower shortage, he added.
Keeping hospital and its surrounding area neat and clean is important just as hospital requires medicines and modern equipment for proper treatment of patients and accordingly cleanliness drive is being carried out inside JNIMS campus using heavy machines, he said, adding that this will help in preventing waterlogging inside the hospital campus.
Professor Deben further said that black topping of roads inside the campus and plantation of different varieties of tress have not only beautified the campus but also creating a serene environment to people visiting the hospital.
He then urged people coming to the hospital to dispose plastic and other wastes at dustbins installed by hospital authority properly.
