Tree saplings planted at Peace Museum

Imphal, August 10 2021: India Tourism Imphal in association with Manipur Tourism Forum observed the "INDIA @ 75- Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" by planting tree saplings at the Imphal Peace Museum, Maibam Lotpa Ching, which is also known as Red Hill, on Tuesday.

A release by India Tourism Imphal TIO Ngangkham Lilabati said that the location was chosen for the plantation drive as Maibam Lotpa Ching is a place of historical importance which has many important episodes during the Second World War.

"The Imphal Peace Museum was built to pay homage to all those who fought and lost their lives," it said.

The event was attended by Imphal Peace Museum director H Joyremba, members of Manipur Tourism Forum Kh Krishnan, P Kunjabihari and Ngangkhom Lilabati.
