Kangpokpi, August 07 2021: In an effort to keep the environment clean, green and safe; Kholep Youth's Club has pledged to volunteer for 'Clean India Mission' in a pledge taking ceremony on Swachhta during the observance of Swatchata Pakhwada under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kangpokpi in collaboration with Kholep Youth's Club.
During the event, youth of Kholep village in Kangpokpi district promised to devote 100 hours a year or 2 hours every week in voluntary work with regard to cleanliness.
The Kholep youth also pledged not to litter and encouraged people to spare time for the 'Clean India Campaign'.
The "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" or "Clean India Mission" is a national movement that aims to create a 'Clean India'.
The mission encourages youth to take part in making Clean India movement possible.
The mission involves activities such as volunteering in cleaning, door-to-door campaign in villages for swacchta, distribution of relevant literature, and intensive cleaning of institutions including village schools and community health care centres.
