Imphal, April 19 2021: Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) organised a cleanliness drive under 'Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav' at Kakching yesterday.
In continuation with the relentless efforts by Kakching Battalion towards normalisation and betterment of the society in Kakching, the Battalion organised multiple events at Beru Khudam village including a medical camp, cleanliness drive and tree plantation, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
The villagers were overwhelmed by the initiative and fervently participated in all the events wherein a lecture on COVID appropriate behaviors and importance of wearing masks, hand wash and maintaining physical distance were highlighted, added the statement.
The locals were also encouraged to take vaccines from the various COVID centres in Kakching and prevent the further spread.
The events were organized with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols, added the statement.
