Thoubal, January 22 2021: A man from Imphal East, Annan Takhellambam is opening a stall at the National Agri Horticultural Show 2021 being held at Bokakhat, Golaghat district in Assam.
Annan, hailing from Nongdam Khul, Imphal East district, is offering locally grown products for sale at the show, which will continue till January 23 .
The National Agri Horticultural Show 2021 was inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on January 21, this year.
On interacting with this correspondent, Annan Takhellambam said that locally grown ginger, turmeric, king chilly, black rice are popular among bulk buyers.
Many bulk buyers are placing orders for ginger and turmeric grown by the contract farmers of New Age Global Garden, he said adding that this exposure the company gets from the show will surely benefit the contract farmers.
Annan Takhellambam is the founder of New Age Global Garden who started venturing into Agribusiness by cultivating king chillies.
This company also began delivering its products to different parts of the country and beyond.
It is reported that Annan Takhellambam is being sponsored by North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Ltd (NERAMAC) for participating in the event.
