Thoubal, January 02 2021: All Manipur Muslim Organisations' Co-ordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) Ningthounai unit today organised a Tree Plantation cum Awareness Programme at All Ningthounai Badminton Association (ANBA) ground.
Pradhan of Tulihal GP, Mohd Abdul Khalique; AMMOCOC president, SM Jalal; Manipur State Schedule Tribe Commission member, Tara Machin and social worker, Md Azimuddin attended the awareness programme which was conducted under the theme "Skill and Entrepreneurial Development" as presidium members.
In his presidential speech, SM Jalal stated that the world is growing rapidly and through small means, it is evident here in the State as well.
However, Meitei Pangal, being backward in almost every sphere, is struggling to make the best of the development and growth.
As such the awareness programme was organised in order to guide or attract the community towards skill and entrepreneurial development, he said.
He further added that AMMOCOC is set to organise similar programmes at other Meitei Pangal inhabited villages to raise widespread awareness.
SM Jalal, on the condition of women, said that it was no more relevant to consider women should remain engaged in household chores.
They are also assets of the society and are as capable as man, he said while stressing the need to give them equal opportunity and help them be self reliant and independent beings.
Other resource persons also delivered valuable speeches during the programme.
