Imphal, January 17 2022: Under the Border Area Development Programme 2018-19, 20 Assam Rifles constructed a Water Supply Scheme (WSS) for villagers of Lamlong Khu-nou village in Tengnoupal district.

The project carried out under the supervision of commandant of 20 Assam Rifles based in Tengnoupal town was executed by contractor Heigrujam Ranjit and completed in December last year.

The said project was inaugurated by Lamlong Khunou village chairman DK Kuddar on January 5 .

Villagers of Lamlong Khunou have expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for initiating the project which will enable adequate water supply for the local populace.

They also thanked the contractor for maintaining quality control in construction of the project.
