Training programme begins

Imphal, February 28 2019: A 21 day long Wet Lab Training Programme on "Advances in Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology" commenced on February 26 at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal.

Three course-coordinators Dr MR Sahoo (Senior Scientist), Dr SS Roy (Senior Scientist) and Dr SK Sharma (Scientist) are organizing the said training under the sponsorship of ICAR-National Agricultural Science Fund and Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India, said a statement of Dr Subhra Saikat Roy, Senior Scientist (Horticulture) ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre.

The training is comprised of three modules namely, Module I. Plant Tissue Culture and Related Techniques, Module II. Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology and Module III. Bioactivity Study in Plants.

A total of 28 participants from different institutes like ICAR, CAU, MU, IBSD, PDDUIAS, SAIRAM etc and some participants from other States are participating in the training.
