Workshop on preservation of fruits and vegetables commences

CHURACHANDPUR | Feb 27 : A two-day workshop on ‘Preservation and Value addition of Fruits and Vegetables’ commenced today at Synod Hall, IB Road, Churachandpur, organised by North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC) Limited, for farmers and traders.


During the workshop, a trader and owner of Tunnu Bakery, Paukhenkhup Guite spoke as the resource person and talked about the importance of education to succeed in business.


He said that he did not have money when he started the first modern mechanised bakery at Lamka but used his education, mind and determination by taking loans from various sources. The most important element is the brain and no money is required to start a business, he added.


The programme is supported by Ministry of DoNER, Governments of India and similar workshops were also held at Itanagar and Guwahati. 50 traders and farmers attended the first day of the workshop.
