Eco club at Angaan ching re-launched

Deputy Commissioner Kakching, Th Kirankumar Singh, in presence of Divisional Forest Officer Thoubal, RK Amarjit, Prof N Rajmuhon, Chemistry Department, Manipur University and president, Alliance for Development Alternatives Manipur (ADAM) along with around 200 young students has re-launched ‘Sunday Eco Club’ Kakching at Angaan Ching Eco-Park after gap of two years today.

‘Sunday Eco-Club’ has been an environment protection initiative taken up by ADAM, Kakching focusing on school going children to aware and educates children about ecological value at least two hours in a week since 2005.

Interacting with children at the occasion of re-launching, DC Kirankumar advised “there is no such country or place which has golden history from the beginning and ended with golden story, it is you, and I and we has to make our place a better one.”

He encouraged the students that the district has around 16 thousand to 17 thousand students, if each one of students plant a tree with care to make it grow at the hill slop of Angaan Ching, then it would not be difficult in greening the hill slop.

He further expressed his unwillingness in encouraging VIP culture saying that name plates for every planter should be signified regardless of one’s designation. read more>>
