Plantation drive

Imphal, August 28 2016: The National Service Scheme unit of Don Bosco College, Maram under the guidance of Sister Sweta, Shyamsunder and Chidanada, PO of NSS, organ- ized a tree plantation drive on August 27 to sensitize NSS vol- unteers on the importance of planting more trees, our corre- spondent reports. ADC member A Rang who opened the plantation drive provided the college with 200 saplings from the Forest Department, Senapati district. Dr Fr KO Sebastian, Principal of the college en- couraged the NSS volunteers to plant more trees so as to make the world a better place to live in. The trees were planted inside the college premises and adopted villages of NSS Don Bosco Maram unit. The participating NSS vol- unteers also pledged to promote the 'green campus and green earth' campaign.
